JAMNABAI NARSEE SCHOOL started functioning from 1971.

JNS was founded and managed by the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust.

The school has the following facilities : Computer lab, Science club, Library, Nature Club.

The following co-curricular activities are available in the school : Swimming/Sports, Dance/Music, Dramatics, Hiking, Trekking.

The school building is unique in architecture with three clusters of hexagonal classrooms, each with a central foyer.

The school has two dancing rooms where training is provided in Indian music and and dance.

In the spacious art room, drawing, painting, clay modelling and collage talents are spotted, developed and fine tuned. The guiding principle of JNS is "Let learning be a joy and teaching a pleasure". In the primary classes the teaching is skill oriented and not content based. The motto is:

An array of curricular and co-curricular courses help to develop the all round personality of the student. Various clubs tap the hidden talents of the students in a range of subjects.

Excursions, field trips, elocutions, debates, hiking and trekking are some of the activities enjoyed by the students.

The student council, elected on democratic lines, participates in decision-making in the school activities and encourages the office bearers to take decisions and shoulder responsibilities as a prelude to preparation for an adult life as sensible citizens.

The community service programme of the school, organizes regular visits to the weaker sections of the society.

The school has an excellent canteen [cafeteria], supervised by a dietician, which provides wholesome and hygienic food.
